Biography

Arrideo and Cor were followers of Bahamut living in Seagate, a city in Issylra during the Calamity. Arrideo was a cleric with knowledge of the intricacies of the draconic language,[5] and Cor was a fearsome scimitar-wielding paladin, a member of the Order of the Last Banner,[6] and the bearer of Honor's Last Stand.[7] They raised a son together, and although life was hard for them, they helped refugees whenever they could.[8]

During a battle in which Asmodeus was involved, his fiendish forces invaded Seagate; Arrideo was killed, but Cor managed to escape with their young son.[9] Along with a man called Skoll, they traveled to Gwessar, where they stayed for a time with Skoll becoming like an uncle to Erro and teaching him about survival. They made a brief return to Issylra, but they couldn't find any refugees, so they decided to stay in Gwessar Cor, however, didn't live to see her son grow: when Erro was about eleven, a sickness killed the people of the small settlement they had found, including his mother.[10] The young dragonborn stayed with Skoll.[11]

Many decades later, not long before the Divergence, Erro and his friends found a hidden sanctum near Snowgrave Pass in which several relics were kept: one of them was Honor's Last Stand, which the dragonborn last saw with his mother.[12] He took it with him, and days later, during a battle against devils, he remembered his parents' lessons about not wasting the advantage against an enemy, and pushed away the fiend that was approaching him as Honor's Last Stand became Awakened.[13]
